RED VELVET

Red Velvet is a 4-member girl group under SM Entertainment which debuted August 4, 2014 with a single “Happiness“. The group’s concept is somewhere in between f(x)’s electro-modern style and SNSD’s mainstream pop concept. The group consists of multi-national girls namely Irene, Wendy, Joy and Seulgi. All members had previously had television and music video appearances.

Group name explained: “Red” represents a fierce and attractive color. “Velvet” represents womanly and soft image. It shows their ambition to marvel the world by their independent and sophisticated music.
